To ensure your foundations are accurately and safely excavated, our team works closely with engineers
Engineers do geo-tech testing and reports to determine what groundwork is required before excavations start. Clegg and/or Vane Shear tests are done to determine the stability of the ground. A simple and quick test known as the Vane Shear test is a method of testing soil characteristics on-site and estimates the undrained shear strength of saturated soils. A Clegg test is used to obtain an indication of the degree of compaction of soil in road construction.
Generally, every customer has their own engineer but we have the equipment to do all the engineering specifications if required. If you have an engineer we'll work closely with them to ensure the work is carried out accurately.
We don’t take shortcuts and work is always properly signed off.
