The first part of earthworks is site preparation including the removal of trees and other obstructions. This ensures there are no obstacles that might slow the work down during the project. The work required for this includes site clearing, cutting to level, back-filling and compaction which will make the ground level for landscaping. As experienced contractors, we will be able to determine where any existing utility pipes and cables are to steer clear of them when breaking up rocks and hard ground.
Our piling and drilling services include signpost holes as well as lifting the poles into the drilled holes, piles for foundations and retaining walls and preparation work for soak pits.
Many utility services such as power, water and telecommunications run below the ground so trench work should be undertaken near the beginning of your project before final finishes are done on the land for house footings and slabs.
Installing a drain can help eliminate excess water on your property and minimise those boggy patches. We can help you with your drainage and/or laying drain pipes, including identification of the drain location, digging and lining the trench and laying the pipe.
Preparation is paramount to getting a precise finish for driveways, floor slabs, paths or tracks. Inadequate preparation can potentially lead to issues with your foundations in years to come. We'll complete any necessary groundwork including soil compaction and drainage and then work with trusted subcontractors to pour the concrete.

Many areas of Auckland tend to require rock breaking including Mt Eden, Remuera, Herne Bay, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Mr Roskill, Devenport, and any areas where there are little mountains or hills. Some of the rocks that are found in these areas and may have to be drilled are Sandstone, Basalt, Bluestone, Volcanic or Pappaa rock. There may also be previously laid stones or concrete on the site that needs removing.
